ABOUT
Michelle Wagner (*1995) is a Hamburg-based designer and textile artist with roots in northern Hesse.

Her work stands for an exciting, artistic combination of futuristic minimalism and traditional tailoring techniques. Mostly kept in black or similar neutral tones, the individual works are characterized by three-dimensional, richly detailed textile surfaces that constantly reveal new facets in different lighting conditions and from different angles.
Eager to learn by nature and enthusiastic about all forms of art, she embarked on her creative journey at an early age and eventually discovered her love of textile design during her training as a bespoke tailor and her fashion design studies - inspired by both natural and artificially created structures and textures.
By experimenting with a wide variety of materials and techniques, the Hamburg resident-by-choice has continuously developed her creative process over the years and found her very own, unique creative signature style.
Her work celebrates the versatile possibilities of textile design away from fashion and clothing with great depth of detail - and yet is deeply rooted in them.
Each work of art, whether sewn by machine or by hand, is made as a unique piece with great attention to detail in her Hamburg studio.
